Days in Malaysia (Day 10 - 12)

So, all of us were staying in Nikko for the night of the wedding. Had a relaxing breakfast at Serena Brasserie before checking out. Rest of the day was spent at home as we were too tired to do anything else.

But shopping and touring resume the day after. Amongst the places that we go is definately 1 Utama - we shop so much there it is almost like second home. I really like Haagen Dazs ice cream - too bad it is not available in Australia.

Tuesday - we were at Port Dickson - went there with Unc Tommy, Thach, Nancy & mum. Spent some time at the beach and took a break and coconut - fresh coconut! It's so nice and again that's something that I miss in Malaysia.

This is a funny one - as we were heading to Taman Kepong for Bak Kut Teh - Thach does not like BKT much so we decided to go McDonald and takeaway Prosperity Burger for him. So he was happily chomping his burger when the waitress came and spoke to him in Cantonese about why he doesn't like BKT and was eating Burger. Well, Thach totally ignored her cause he didn't even realised that she is speaking to him! In the end it is all fine when we explained that he is from Australia and does not understand Cantonese at all. She mentioned that Thach looks Chinese - haha.

We were at Fatty Crab @ Taman Megah as well. The crabs, fried rice, prawns and chicken wings are really yummylicious!

And to Uncle Tony's and Aunt Felicity's suggestion we headed to Pantai Seafood for dinner together. The dishes there are nice too and there were a lot of people at the two places (for a weekdays). Just prove one thing - that these places are really good and are doing well.

At Pantai - we ordered fish, pork knuckles, duck, and crabs for meat - perhaps because we had crabs the day before - nobody feel like eating crabs much so we had a bit of leftovers! Perhaps too much of good things are not that good either :p

Another day 'til we fly off to Vietnam - can't wait for the experience there - shopping and food!

Wedding reception @ Toh Lee (Nikko Hotel) Sneak Preview

26th Decenber was another memorable day - finally the celebration of our wedding with relatives and friends in Malaysia. We had the reception in Toh Lee @ Hotel Nikko. Was there early for the make up and resting until the night. Was rather tired throughout the reception though. Had late lunch there to fill up the tummy for reception as we would eat very little (as usual).

The bridal suite was really nice with complimentary pralines, rose petals bath and also see-through window from bedroom to bathroom (kinky business ;p). We were at reception venue at 6pm and guests started arriving at 6:30pm. But as usual, Malaysia wedding dinner will only start around 8pm no matter what time is stated on the invitation :-)

The day was fun but I was not feeling so well. So, our married life 'officially' start from now.

Tea Ceremony - Malaysia

So, we had tea ceremony at our home yesterday. There were a lot of people and a lot of food. Rather tired now and gotta prepare for wedding reeception tonight. So, just a few photos.


It was good to see families and friends again.

Departure from GC Airport & arrival @ LCCT - Day 1

So, we were taking the flight from Coollongata Airport for the journey home to KL. Thanks to Huy for sending us to the airport at 5am in the morning. Waited for Ming & Mel to join us at GC Airport. Met up after the checkin. Had breakfast at the airport cafe. Met James at the airport and hang out together with him.

Had 2 dinners on that night! We were pretty hungry when we came out from the airport. So, parents took us to Canton-i @ 1 Utama for 1st dinner. After dropping the luggages and have a quick rest, we went to Mum's Place for 2nd dinner! Oh, it is so yummy! Miss the taste there.

Next morning, we went to Restaurant Toh Lee to finalise wedding reception planning. Had dim sum lunch there and meet up with the wedding planner. Counting down - it's only 4 days to go! Can't wait for everyone to stay together at the hotel after the dinner!
