Singapore: Day 2

Day 2 of Singapore trip was mostly spent shopping at Universal Studio! I insisted on going to USS as I just want to take photos of / with brightly coloured characters and also the almost magical buildings that they have there! Started  at 9am with breakfast at the hotel - again; limited choice but very nice breakfast!

A bit of drama as well when mum misplaced dad's ticket and we have to get a new ticket from USS counter - but good thing is they gave it to us for free instead of charging us extra for it! All is well again and we went in and I go crazy with photo taking. Luckily mum was feeling as crazy as me and we ended up asking dad to take a lot of photos for us. Feel as if I am a kid again in USS :-)

Bye bye USS
We were only in USS for 3.5 hours including lunch. Had enough of the hot weather and went back to hotel to refresh ourselves. Headed out to Orchard Rd not long after and started another shopping trip! The cab driver dropped us at Ngee Ann City (maybe his tactics!!). Ngee Ann is full of 'atas' brands as well. This time we saw LV and spent some time there :-) Good thing it was still bright when we walked out from the shops. Saw a lot of 'life experience' there that was shared and laughed over dinner.

Met up with Celine again for dinner! This time she insisted of shouting us dinner - we went to Soup Restaurant for their famous chicken. The chicken was really good - actually it is the ginger sauce that is really awesome. Also had century eggs. yum yum yum. The dishes are simple yet delicious! After dinner we hang out at Coffee Bean and catch up. Celine later commented that the parents are really easy going and fun to chat too :-)

Not long after, we bid her farewell and thank her for taking us around and treating us dinner too! 'til we meet again Celine.....
